Well so far let me just say that I have created a 750 hp dervish Illusionary weapon biuld that does dominate quite a few classes, warriors and ele tanks included. (I hate mesmers I am a kitten in there hands). I also have create a 80 hp farming biuld that seems to farm as well as any 55 monk so far. ( i do have a 55 monk and do know how well they farm) giuld says I should put both of these biulds up but I dunno I Like having this biulds secret, really surprises people to see a D/ME with sword and shield and u cant kill me and I slice right through any armour u have (although I hate mesmers did I tell you I hate mesmers)

For all of you who were saying avatars suck, and especially Dwayna, when i was saying that avatars are great, if you know where how and when to use it -

I just watched the GvG battle of #1 guild (Heart of Ashes and Dust); they used 2 Dervishes, both with Dwayna.

(one of their players didnt load at all so they lost at VoD)

There, that's for Mekkakat who doesnt know how to play Dervish so they must suck right? I watched few other GvG games of top teams and they used Dervish and they did good. For instance, Cry (#5) vs PnH (#4), where Cry won.

If you want to complain about professions complain about Ritualist. They are nowhere to be seen in GvG, as a primary profession. That's not just because spirits, it's because their primary attribute is utterly useless and ANet is utterly deaf. The same way that Paragon primary attribute is flawed because this game includes 4v4 and 6v6 teams as well.

have you ever seen me play dervish? no. i have no problem killing or supporting/pressuring as a dervish at all. enough flames, i can have my own opinions, and you don't need to be a jerk about it. if you think something differently, dont bash someone else cause they don't agree, thats just childish. i didn't say i NEVER see them, i said rarely, and those few instances don't make up for the lack of use in most pvp as a whole. rits are better in 4v4, not GvG, but i guess since you don't like them, you can bash them. what a hypocrite. obviously YOU don't know how to play a ritualist or a paragon *rolls eyes*

I dont need to see you play, i saw what you type. That alone is enough to tell me that you're not experienced as Dervish. And by "experienced" i dont mean "someone who played a lot", but "someone who understands and is skilled in the art of Dervish, in and out".

Im not bashing Ritualists either, they are my top3 favorite profession and i got over 50 glad points with Rt alone, and i used Rt in GvG with great success as well. That doesnt change the fact that Spawning sucks.

What few instances? You said it yourself they overflaw RA, and im saying now that i checked several more GvGs and see a lot of teams having at least one Dervish. I dont play HA so dunno if they are used there or not, and i dont play TA atm either (because i dont play the game game) so cant comment on that one. Seriously, what is your problem? First you comment there r none in topGvG, now i tell you i see them quite often.

I think you have a problem which is called lack of arguments and surplus of opinions.

Exactly my point Isil'Zha. I remembered when he said that, so when i went to watch Observer mode today a lil bit for fun, i noticed quite a lot of Dervishes here and there, and not in some #200 teams, but in top5 guilds. Then when i tell him that, he starts wiggling again. Dervish isnt a monk, not every team needs half a dozen of them.

OK let's check guilds participating in todays AT (on observer), and their setup.
Statistics:
17 Mo
10 W
9 E
5 Me
4 D
3 R
2 A
2 Ne
2 P
2 Rt

Considering that Dervish is more difficult to play than a warrior, considering it's not a core profession like some others are, etc etc, it seems to me the representation in GvG is still quite nice. Dervish is seen around more than any other non-core profession.

And yes im quite aware that not even black-on-white arguments will convince you, which is why i havent typed much in this thread lately, nor do i intend to.

From my personal experience with the dervish, some of the best dervishes/builds are the ones that branch off from the main proffession. Most of my dervish build now have 2 or 3 dervish skills maximum. Anyone who loads up an entire bar of dervish skills will immediately be missing out on the versatility you gain from branching out, especially in terms of using non-dervish elites. The avatars are great in certain situations, as are many of the other dervish elites, but they all pale in comparison to what you can do with other class' skills.

Neat, just let us know when you're ready to come down from your Ivory tower and divulge such information.

OK, im a huge fan of using secondary profession skills when it comes to Dervish. Actually, i used to say that any Dervish-only-skills Dervish build was underpowered. But i think you're going way too much to the other extreme.

2-3 Dervish skills maximum? Come on.. Even when i play D/A i use like what, only 3 assassin skills. Dervish has so many cool skills that you really need a good reason not to use them.

Besides, what are you trying to say? Im just watching AT GvG atm between #1 and #21 guilds, and both teams have one Dervish each, and Dervish uses mostly Dervish skills, with the exception of Wild Blow, Distracting, and alike.

I agree with Servant of Kali, some actual builds would really help prove your point. But yeah, 2-3 dervish skills max sounds a little strange in my ears. We'll have to wait for your builds and see.

The problem is, he doesnt have any actual builds. He's one of those trolls who post an opinion but have nothing to back it up with.

Incredible, I don't live on these boards, check them once a day, and suddenly I'm a troll because I'm not posting everything you want me to as often as you want me to. I figured this place would be a nice refreshing change from the ridiculous angst and stupidity of the VN boards but I guess not. Enjoy your opinions and ridiculous conclusions, I don't think I feel like getting involved in VN boards v 2.0.

EDIT: Just figured I'd let you guys know, since you obviously don't, randomly insulting people and jumping to conclusions is as sure a sign of a troll as any. You might be surprised when people give you what you are looking for when you ask as opposed to insulting them.
